SHILOH RANCH SCHOOL OF MINISTRY
FORMED IN CHRIST. EQUIPPED FOR HIS MISSION.
Formation Institute is a three-year ministry pathway at Shiloh Ranch designed to form Christ-shaped leaders who know Jesus, love His Church, and participate in His mission. It brings together biblical and theological education, spiritual formation, practical ministry, community, mentoring, and a new media-driven approach to learning. This is formation for the whole person — not simply information for the classroom.
THE IDEA
FORMED, NOT JUST INFORMED.
Information matters. Theology matters. Biblical knowledge matters.
But ministry formation asks a deeper question: What is that truth producing in a person?
Formation Institute is built around the belief that students should not only understand Scripture, theology, leadership, and ministry — they should become people increasingly shaped by Jesus.
Learning moves into character. Theology moves into practice. Gifting moves into service. And education becomes a life of discipleship and mission.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF SCHOOL
NOT ONLY A CLASSROOM. NOT ONLY ONLINE.
Formation Institute is being built as a hybrid ministry education model. Students will learn through live teaching, community, practical ministry, and personal mentoring — while also engaging professionally produced media designed specifically for the curriculum.
A single course may include a traditional lecture, a long-form podcast conversation, a focused teaching video, a visual breakdown, an interview with an experienced ministry leader, Scripture study, discussion, and real-world ministry application.
The medium changes depending on what teaches the material best. The goal is not to put a classroom on the internet. The goal is to build a richer way to learn.
ONE CURRICULUM. MULTIPLE WAYS TO LEARN.
LIVE LECTURES
In-person teaching, discussion, questions, and interaction.
PODCAST CONVERSATIONS
Long-form conversations with pastors, leaders, practitioners, and voices from across the Church.
BREAKDOWN VIDEOS
Focused visual teaching that can slow down difficult concepts, Scripture, theology, history, and ministry practice.
INTERVIEWS & STORIES
Learning directly from people who have lived the ministry being discussed.
SCRIPTURE & READING
Serious engagement with the Bible, books, articles, theology, and Christian thought.
COMMUNITY & DISCUSSION
Formation groups, conversation, shared meals, prayer, and learning alongside others.
MINISTRY PRACTICE
Students apply what they are learning through service, leadership, observation, assignments, and ministry experience.
THE JOURNEY
THREE YEARS OF FORMATION.
Formation Institute follows a progressive three-year pathway. Each year builds on the last — moving from a secure identity in Christ, into deeper equipping for ministry, and ultimately toward mature leadership and multiplication.
01
IDENTITY IN CHRIST
Year One builds the foundation: Scripture, spiritual formation, discipleship, and a life rooted in Jesus.
02
EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
Year Two deepens theology, leadership, ministry practice, evangelism, and the discovery of how each student has been gifted to serve the Church.
03
MATURITY & MULTIPLICATION
Year Three moves toward mature ministry leadership, practical experience, mission, multiplication, and preparation to disciple and equip others.

THE FOUNDATION
ONE CORNERSTONE. A LIFETIME OF DISCIPLE-MAKING.
Every part of Formation Institute is built around one central purpose: to form leaders who know Jesus, love His Church, and participate in His mission.
Students receive biblical and theological depth, practical ministry preparation, Five-Fold exposure, leadership development, and meaningful ministry experience — but the ultimate goal is larger than a credential.
It is a life faithfully following Jesus and helping others do the same.
